Attorney profiles on this site may be considered advertising under the rules of professional conduct in some jurisdictions. Each listed attorney is responsible for the content of their own profile and for complying with the advertising rules where they're admitted. The attorney responsible for each profile is the attorney named on it.

Nothing on this site — including practice descriptions, FAQs, and articles — is legal advice. It's general information, and it may not reflect current law in your jurisdiction. Don't act or refrain from acting based on it without consulting an attorney about your specific situation.

03No attorney-client relationship

Browsing the Directory, submitting an inquiry form, or exchanging initial messages with a listed attorney does not create an attorney-client relationship. A relationship begins only when you and the attorney expressly agree to one, typically through a written engagement.

We are never a party to that relationship and are not responsible for the services an attorney provides.

04Confidentiality of what you send

Keep your first message general: who you are, the kind of help you need, and how to reach you. Don't include confidential, privileged, or time-sensitive details until an attorney has confirmed they can take your matter and has run a conflicts check.

Information sent through our forms passes through our systems on its way to the attorney and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Sending it doesn't make it privileged.

05What "verified" means

Before publishing a profile, we confirm that the attorney's bar admission is active in each state they list, review publicly available disciplinary records, and look for evidence that AI or privacy law is a genuine, ongoing part of their practice. We re-check admission status annually. See the full process.

Verification is not an endorsement or a rating. We don't assess the quality of an attorney's work, their fees, or their fit for your matter, and we don't guarantee any outcome. Choosing counsel is your decision — we encourage you to speak with more than one attorney.

06Paid listings & placement

Attorneys pay a flat fee to be listed. We don't charge referral fees and don't receive any part of the fees an attorney earns from a matter that started with an inquiry here.

Within any set of search results, listings are ordered alphabetically by last name, except that during the founding period, founding members may appear ahead of other listings as part of their paid plan. Placement reflects the plan an attorney is on, not a judgment of their skill or experience. [Keep this description in sync with how your directory actually sorts results.]

Sponsored ads

Some pages show ads from companies that sell products or services to legal and privacy teams. Every ad is labelled Sponsored and names the advertiser. Advertisers don't influence which attorneys are listed or in what order, and we don't accept ads from law firms or lawyer referral services. See our advertising policy.

07Prior results

Representative matters on profiles are described by the attorneys themselves. Prior results don't guarantee a similar outcome, and every matter turns on its own facts.

08Jurisdiction

Listed attorneys are licensed only in the jurisdictions shown on their profiles. Some may handle matters elsewhere in association with local counsel or where federal law permits; ask the attorney directly. The Directory doesn't intend to solicit clients in any jurisdiction where its content would not comply with applicable rules.
